New Apple iphone 5 Touch
Apple launched the fifth-gen iPod Touch at last week’s iPhone 5
unveiling conference, to all intents and purposes an iPhone 5 sans
telephonic functionality.
New iPod Touch too will feature that 4-inch 1136 x
640 elongated Retina display, and without the need for all that LTE
power draw and smartphone innards it comes in at a slender 6.1mm thick,
and weighs a trifling 88 grams. The aluminum back plate has bitten the
dust – making for a squarer profile, closer to the side-view of its
all-conquering big brother. Offered in black, silver, yellow, pink or
blue, only the black version has a matching bezel, with the other
colored iPods making do with a white one.
Internally, the 1GHz A4 CPU of the old version is superseded by a dual-core A5 CPU – the same one found in the last version of the iPad (iteration 2.4) – it’s basically a pair of A9 cores with a PowerVR SGX543MP2 on-board graphical chip looking after the pixel-painting – a premium set of components in other words.
Camera of New iPod Touch has also been smartened up, in the same vein of the iPhone 5′s cam, more scratch-resistant lens, some sort of sapphire crystal layer to thank for that. Panorama mode courtesy of simply swishing the device through the air is also here, as is face recognition, swipe to focus, support for iPhoto and iMovie. Shoot 1080p footage with the rear camera, assisted by motion detection…the new iPod Touch is no poor relation of the iPhone, it’s simply the non-cellular sibling, and it’s a fantastic update. I reckon users are gonna love that elongated aspect ratio – an extra row of homescreen icons but more importantly, the unchanged width of the device means it’s still a one-handed device – thumb-swipes ahoy.
And for a device without 3G/LTE and whatnot connectivity, that extra mobile-friendliness will give the iPod the edge over any other WiFi device – when was the last time you saw anyone using a 4.3-inch device with a typical height-to-width ratio with just one hand? Standing on the subway? Walking along? That new Lightning connector might irk a few iPod fans; peripherals will need updating, and the port layout has been reworked, but the boost to performance and usability make this an upgrade worth saving for; battery life has been improved to 40 hours of tune-time, or 8 hours of video. 32GB version $299, 64GB $399, shipping in October.

- Make sure you have a Google Chrome VERSION 20 installed on your PC.
- Download and install the Device ID on your Android device.
- Download and install the APK Downloader Chrome Extension. (Please view the video to learn how to install)
- Disable SSL error warnings
- Close Google Chrome application [!Important!]
- Right click on the Chrome shortcut and select "Properties"
- Select the "Shortcut" tab, and add [space]--ignore-certificate-errors at the end. It should look like this:
C:\…\chrome.exe --ignore-certificate-errors
- Close Chrome and re-open it with the modified shortcut, then open the APK Downloader options page. If there is no warning box, then you successfully disabled SSL error warnings.
Enter email and device ID on Options page - That's it. You can now start using APK Downloader.
**After logging in, you can navigate to any Google Play App page, and click the APK Downloader icon in the Address bar to download the .apk to your desktop!
After finished the steps above, you can start using APK Downloader. Open Google Play, view any FREE apps ( for example: YouTube ), then press the APK Downloader icon on address bar ( see screenshot )

1. There are two ways to get Email and Device ID
a. Easy way: install this Device ID app, it will show you your GSF ID and Device ID, what we need here is GSF Android-ID (used by Google Services)
b. Difficult way: Open dial pad, call *#*#8255#*#* ( 8255 = TALK ). If it opens “GTalk Service Monitor”, find lines that begin with JID and Device ID. Your email is JID, and your device id is a string that after android- prefix
For example: if it shows android-1234567890abcdef , then your device ID is1234567890abcdef
Do not type in random email or device ID, it won’t work
StumbleUpon releases new site redesign in beta, featuring Pinterest-like stumbles and lists
Following a traffic nose-dive from last December’s site redesign, the loss of its CEO and the recent release of a redesigned iOS app, StumbleUpon is today revealing a site redesign in beta.
Last week’s iOS redesign introduced a cleaner and livelier look which suggested the company was heading in the right direction. Today, however, the company appears to be looking towards Pinterest’s successful and highly mimicked design for inspiration.
In cases like these, it’s important to remember that Pinterest did not invent the masonry layout, but if you look around, you’ll find a lot more design cues which StumbleUpon appears to have borrowed. They’re not the only ones to have done this, but look below and see what we mean:
StumbleUpon’s redesign features color-coded and category specificpins stumbles, which can be organized into boards
lists. Lists will soon become a very important aspect of the
StumbleUpon experience, and StumbleUpon has informed TNW that they will
soon arrive in the company’s mobile applications and browser extensions.
That, along with little details like list cover photos and the general style of the example lists (I Love Disco, Body is a Temple, Kitschy Life and Things for my Twenty-Something Self) make the connection too strong to miss. Stealing bad ideas is something we’ve covered before.
With this new beta site, the company has also added the ability to stumble the pages your friends have recently liked, commented on, or shared through Facebook and Twitter. That feature, along with the interesting usage of the new Stumble DNA, may be moving the site forward, but the proliferation of Pinterest-like elements and the usage of three confusingly stacked navigation bars is worrying to say the least.

Micromax launches A25 Smarty with 1GHz processor
Micromax A25 Smarty features Android 2.3, 1GHz processor, 2.8-inch capacitive display, dual-SIM connectivity, 1.3MP fixed focus camera, 1280 mAh battery and microSD card support.
While there are certainly many positives for the phone, be it the 1GHz processor or the price or capacitive display in this budget, the smartphone is not without downsides. There is no 3G connectivity and both SIM cards with only have Edge support, and the camera is also of very little use.

Samsung Unveils World's First Windows 8 Phone
The announcement at a Berlin electronics show comes amid expectations that smartphone makers may turn increasingly to Windows devices after a US jury decided many of Samsung's Google Android-based phones infringed Apple Inc patents.
Samsung Electronics became the first handset maker to announce a smartphone using Microsoft's latest mobile software, making its surprise, hurried announcement just days before the highly anticipated launch of Nokia's version. Samsung said the ATIV phone would hit stores in the October-November period but did not give an exact start date.

Samsung's ATIV S Windows phone sports a high-end 4.8-inch display, Corning "Gorilla" glass, and an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
The ATIV S features a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.8-inch high-definition Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, microSDHC support, an 8-megapixel camera, and a 2,300 mAh battery.
